Electrification: The Main Road to Carbon Neutrality
Overview: The Presentation will try to show how we can reach the carbon neutrality of the energy system by electrifying as much as possible the energy services society needs. The energy flows into EU27 will be discussed and the different energy services will be analysed with regard to their potential of being electrified. The challenges for the electricity system and the technology providers will be shown. Different paths for the hard to electrify application are shown, including the potential role for hydrogen.

Irish Innovation Project Focus: Dingle Peninsula transition – Accelerating the roll out of technologies to support the development of a smart, low carbon electricity network.
Overview: The presentation showcases the series of innovation projects that have been undertaken to catalyse low carbon transition on the Dingle Peninsula. These projects explore the impacts of different measures to enhance energy resilience and sustainability. With a strong focus on social fabric, capacity and capability build, it highlights how sustainable energy communities can harness the power of the collective to amplify the adoption of renewable energy sources.
